Ice storm 2007

Recovering from the recent ice storm is what we have been up to here at our house. We lost power last Friday and was without until late Monday evening. We stayed at our house Friday evening with Hailey (as she is the only one we had), and had the fireplace running for heat and candles for light. We had water but, our pilot light went out on the hot water heater so we didn't have any hot water. We didn't know it was just the polite light until we got home Tuesday evening, we thought we had lost the hot water heater. The fireplace didn't give off much heat, it mainly heated just in front of the fireplace. We had some friends evite us over to stay at their house since they had electric and a generator just in case. So we went over there Saturday morning and stayed until Monday afternoon. We decided that Monday we would go stay with my sister Jean since they had electricity also. Sunday my friend Crys that we were staying with lost electric and when it was time for bed her dad shut the generator off, and it got cold. Haliey didn't do to well being out of her environment, so we thought she would do better at Aunt Jean's house since she has stayed there before.
While at Crys I learned to crochet hats and scarfs, which is something I have been trying to do for a year at the least. So I didn't get something out of the loss of electric. We were able to spend time with our friends and build a better relationship with them, and she taught me something that I hadn't been able to pick up. Thats the brighter side of the picture. :-)
We get to Jeans house, where she already has a family of four staying with them and than three other kids that came to stay the night and they are a family of six themselves, so yes that does make 18 people total in this house. As crazy as you would think it was, it was actually quite calm and great to be around these families. We all came together to get stuff done and to make it an enjoyable experience. Lewis got to camp out in front of the fireplace at Aunt Jean's house and Paige got to have a slumber party in her cousin Christens room. It was fun for all. And my DH got to play with his friend Jess on his PlayStation 3. Yes that is my husband and our brother-in-law. When we got home we relized that we had lost all our groceries about two hundred dollars worth. We just are keeping faith that God will give us the resources to replenish them.
Today we have lost power about three times and our lights keep flickering and there is a big snow storm and ice storm coming in. There is as of right now expectations of 4-6 inches. We still have alot of people around here that have been without power for a week now and it the coming weather isn't going to help any situations. My DH David was off work today because of the pipes busting and the plant being closed.
Now here are some pictures of our yard;
