~My Life as I know It~

My life as a single working mom and the happenings from day to day living. With three kids sometimes life can be hectic and demanding, this is how I deal with it!

Summers Ending

Yesterday I took three of the chitlens to SDC with a mommies group from church to try and get in at least one more activity before school starts. I wasn't feel well yesterday but, I made myself go for the kids. We got there about 10a.m. and left at 6p.m., so we spent the day there with this group...There was 7 mommies and 13chitlens... So we feel the end of summer coming and we are trying to fit what we want to do with the kids in what few days we have left. We already have one of our chitlens' at school this week, but our oldest chitlens doesn't start for another eleven days...I am not looking forward to the early morings as I know the chitlens are not either, we have started getting them back into their night time routines which is not going over to well.
We have got school supplies and clothes bought, somethings we are reusing like her backpack but, David needed everything new since it was his first year and Lewis is feeling left out, so when school starts up for everyone than we are going to go get him some school supplies for him and me to use here at the house.
So we have had our last outting during the day with Lewis and Paige before Paige goes off to school Monday...We spent the day at SDC with her cousins Ryan, Nikki, Brie, and Christine and their Aunt Jean. We all had a great time riding the ride with eachother, laughing joking and just spending quality time together. Paige's favorite ride there is 'Powder Keg' that she rode for the first time, not once but twice... Lewis's favorite ride is now the 'Swings' which we got him on last time we were there and now he loves it. We sadly did not however, have David with us because he started school a week and a half ago and his days of going off with us ended much sooner than Paiges.
David, is enjoying the new world of being a kindergardener and learning and making new friends. This is a throw away from daycare, which was little kids, now he is a big kid and now we have to start treating him like one...before we could get away with treating him like a little one, because after all he was still in a daycare but, now we have to realize and get over it. We now have two big kids to contend with, that now will more than likely come home to tell us of something new they learned, lets pray we already know what they tell us! :-)
We have a few weekends left with all four kids, and hopefully weather permitting we can keep taking them to do fun stuff with us, I feel it is important to have family outtings. Summers about spending quality time days in a row together, you should still do that the rest of the year but, there's something unspoken about summer being the time to have the 'time of your life'.
So this is my ode to Summer coming to a halt, and the promise of a new school year just around the corner, again!
Good bye warm days, good bye long nights I will miss you and await your return till next year.
